Interstellar Explorer

In this game, you will fight as an astronaut against aliens on various planets. The game has 5 levels and is not very difficult.

This game is made for Pygame Community Summer Jam 2024.

Made within 3 days.

Controls

Use the <A> and <D> key to move left and right, and long press the <W> key to fly.

Tips

Due to the game's design, if the player comes out of the left side of the screen, he will go back to the right. So you can take advantage of it to avoid the enemies' bullets.

At the end of each level, there is a "choose ability" interface. It is recommended to choose "Get stronger" and "Energy Boost" first.

In order to save players time in playtesting, here are some tips for defeating the boss, because some players may not be able to beat it.

The first boss is easy to defeat.   It releases tracking missiles that do double damage.   When the boss dies, it will release bullets in all directions, so do not approach it!

The second boss will keep calling the monster and may need a little skill to defeat it.   The player can fly into the air and shoot at the boss, which makes it easier to hit.

The third boss is invisible, and you cannot damage him while he is invisible.   It will release a machine-gun like bullet, must be careful to avoid.

The fourth boss will release penetrating bullets and at regular intervals will rush at the player and attack with the serrations on his body.   Players can dodge attacks by constantly shuttling to the left and right of the screen.

The fifth boss is the most dangerous...
